Young & Restless’ Major Matt Clark Twist May Pave the Way for [Spoiler] to Leave

As Matt Clark’s amnesia storyline increasingly suggests that the former villain is being redeemed in the eyes of the Newman family, another possible twist is beginning to emerge — one that could ultimately result in a character leaving Young & Restless.

Viewers already know that Young & Restless is setting up a fresh love triangle involving Noah Newman, his current girlfriend Sienna Bacall, and his former live-in love Audra Charles. However, if the apparent Matt mega-twist continues unfolding as expected, the situation could become far messier than anyone anticipated. Why?

Once Matt’s memories returned, triggered by the nuShadow Room bringing back his recollections, Sienna was the person who stepped forward and insisted that his suffering over his past actions was genuine. Claiming that she truly “knew” her estranged husband, she maintained that his remorse was real.

Whether Sienna actually knows Matt as well as she believes is certainly debatable. After all, he successfully concealed both his true identity and his past from her throughout their marriage. Even so, she believes she understands him, and that belief is what matters here.

If Victor intends to allow Matt back into society while he continues proving himself, then Sienna will almost certainly be among the first people Matt seeks out. Not only is she technically still his wife, but she was also the one who looked into his eyes — or perhaps his soul — and recognized his regret. It seems inevitable that he would want to reconnect with her.

That opens the door to a scenario in which Sienna, who once loved Matt, could develop feelings for him again. At the very least, she might begin turning to him for comfort or guidance once her relationship with Noah starts falling apart as Audra becomes increasingly involved in the picture.

Considering that Sienna views the recreated Shadow Room as “tainted,” Noah remains her primary reason for staying in Genoa City. Should that relationship collapse — which appears increasingly likely — Matt may encourage her to leave town and begin a new chapter elsewhere.

There is also the possibility that the two could rediscover their love, remain married, and eventually depart together. Still, that outcome feels less likely given the lengths Young & Restless appears to be going through in order to redeem Clark.

Ultimately, if Noah is searching for a reason to move on from Sienna and return to Audra, seeing Sienna confide in the ex-husband who once tried to kill them could easily provide exactly that excuse.

And that, SOAPS readers, is one possible way the Matt Clark mega-twist could end up leading to Sienna’s departure from Genoa City.
